Position: Healthcare Solicitor (Contract)
Service Care Solutions is delighted to be recruiting for a Healthcare Solicitor to join a highly respected NHS Trust Legal Team in Salisbury. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a broad, influential in-house role where your expertise drives safer care, reduced risk, and major cost savings.

Role:
Healthcare Solicitor – NHS Trust

Location:

Wiltshire – Hybrid/Remote
Umbrella Rate: £40-£45ph
PAYE Inc Rate: £35.40 – 39.75ph
Contract Length: 3 months with potential for extension

Key Responsibilities:

Healthcare Advice

Consent, capacity, data protection, Mental Health Act, regulatory issues.
Adult and children’s services.
Manage High Court applications in-house for significant savings.

Disclosure Requests

Support police and local authorities in childcare and criminal proceedings.
Handle complex childcare matters at the South west regional centre for children.

Claims Management

Manage Clinical Negligence & Third Party Claims under NHSR schemes.
Work closely with clinicians to robustly defend Trust interests.

Inquests

Support and represent staff at Coroner’s Court.
Liaise with local Coroners on a substantial inquest portfolio.

Key Requirements:

A qualified solicitor (in England and Wales) with significant experience in Health Care law and a current practicing certificate.
Ideally someone who has worked for an NHS Trust in-house legal team previously.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
