Overview

Our cleaners ensure the nursery premises are clean and tidy including the laundry room. Also, ensure stock is checked and re-ordering is done in sufficient time to have sufficient for the job. You are able to operate all equipment necessary for the job - eg vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, washing machines, tumble driers, steam cleaners.

• Disinfecting surfaces, toys, and furniture to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of communal areas, including kitchens and staff rooms.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all areas.
• Able to use the correct cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals safely and appropriately.

• To report any problems, faults, damage appropriately.
• Because this role involves regulated activity with children, all candidates must:
• Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service. If you don t yet have one, you ll need to cover the cost.
• Be eligible to work in regulated roles - not on the Children s Barred List.
• Successfully complete background and reference checks.

• Previous experience in a cleaning role (experience in a childcare or educational setting is a plus).
• A good understanding of hygiene and safety standards, particularly in environments where children are present.
• Aware of the sustainable ethos of the company, including being actively involved with energy conservation and recycling.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks in a timely manner.
