Job Title: Cleaning Operative

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour

Retention Bonus: £1,000 (paid on completion of the full RCA)

Contract Dates: 8th July 2026 – 15th December 2026

Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (shift-based rota)

Requirement: 24/7 operation, 7 days per week

As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic environment within a Defence setting. You’ll be part of a team that supports essential operations by ensuring high standards of cleanliness are consistently delivered across all areas.

• Carry out cleaning duties across designated areas to a high standard
• Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and compliant with hygiene standards
• Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively
• Follow cleaning schedules and respond to ad‑hoc cleaning requests
• Dispose of waste correctly in line with site procedures
• Support deep cleaning and specialist cleaning tasks when required
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations at all times
• Report maintenance or hygiene issues promptly

• Take pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness
• Have previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
• Are reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Have a good understanding of health and safety practices
• Are flexible and able to work across a 24/7 operation
• Are comfortable working in a fast‑paced, operational environment
