Stores Controller

Location:

Outskirts of Salisbury

Salary: £29,400 + Christmas bonus

Hours:

Monday-Friday (early finish on Fridays)

Take Control of a Critical Operation

We are seeking a hands‑on, organised, and proactive Stores Controller to join a growing manufacturing business on the outskirts of Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys being at the centre of operations – ensuring materials flow efficiently, teams are supported, and processes run smoothly.

The Role
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of materials and components
  • Maintain accurate stock control using ERP systems
  • Work closely with Production and Purchasing to ensure stock availability
  • Supervise and support packing and despatch operatives
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and ISO 9001 compliance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment, including forklifts where applicable
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory control role (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Strong understanding of stock control systems and processes
  • Ability to lead, train, and support team members effectively
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work

    Good understanding of health and safety practices
  • Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
