We're looking for an enthusiastic and practical Assistant Ranger to join our Countryside Team. This is a varied, hands‑on role where you'll help care for our woodlands, country parks, visitor sites and public open spaces, ensuring they are safe, welcoming and well maintained for everyone to enjoy. Working alongside the Countryside Officer and wider team, you'll carry out practical conservation and maintenance work, support habitat management projects, assist with visitor facilities, and help deliver educational activities for schools and community groups.
You'll also work with volunteers, apprentices and trainees, providing guidance and encouragement while helping to deliver a range of countryside management projects. We're looking for someone with a passion for the outdoors, a practical approach to conservation and site maintenance, and excellent communication skills. You'll enjoy working as part of a team, building positive relationships with visitors, volunteers and local landowners, while helping to protect and enhance our natural environment.
