Supplier Quality Engineer Overview:
  • Own supplier quality performance across a varied engineering supply base

  • Review FAIRs, traceability, certifications and subcontract quality documentation
  • Work closely with Procurement, Engineering and Quality on supplier approval and NPI

This Supplier Quality Engineer role is with an established engineering manufacturer in Downton, supporting a regulated supply chain across raw materials, manufactured components and specialist subcontract processes. The Supplier Quality Engineer will take ownership of supplier quality performance, approvals, audits, corrective actions and development activity, working closely with Procurement, Engineering, Quality and external suppliers.

The role needs someone who is comfortable challenging suppliers, investigating root causes and driving lasting improvements rather than simply containing issues after delivery.

As Supplier Quality Engineer, you’ll manage an assigned supplier portfolio and help ensure externally supplied products and processes meet the required technical, quality and traceability standards. You’ll support supplier selection, qualification, surveillance and improvement, while also getting involved in NPI and supplier readiness before manufacture begins.

This Supplier Quality Engineer position suits someone who combines strong quality knowledge with the confidence to work directly with suppliers on audits, investigations, documentation and corrective action.
