About the role

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with a minimum of 12 hours for those who wish to work fewer hours.

The availability windows are as follows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these periods and provide 3 weeks' notice of shifts.

• Thu: 06:00 - 10:15
• Fri: 06:00 - 10:15
• Sat: 06:00 - 10:15

• Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
• Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.

• Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
• Be knowledgeable about store performance, understanding the part you play to drive service and sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in best condition.
• Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and always follow policies.
• May be required to accept deliveries into the store.

• A passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile, and serving them with pride.
• Ability to build rapport with customers so they leave the store having experienced a great shopping trip.
• Takes initiative and makes decisions that are right for customers.
• Works well within a team and communicates openly with others.
• Builds relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, having fun and celebrating success.
• Be on time, well presented and ready as a brand ambassador.
