- Develop and deliver a clear sales strategy that drives occupancy and revenue.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and partners.
- Increase the hotel’s market share across corporate, leisure, and group segments.
- Align sales activity with revenue, marketing, and operational goals.
- Lead, coach, and develop the hotel sales team.
- Set clear objectives and monitor individual and team performance.
- Create a positive, high-performing sales culture.
- Work closely with hotel leadership, revenue management, and operations teams.
- Represent Brightstar values through leadership and behaviour.
- Develop and implement sales plans aligned to hotel and brand strategy.
- Ensure sales activity reflects the hotel’s positioning and service standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, and event planners.
- Oversee account management and client retention.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Drive revenue growth across all market segments.
- Monitor sales performance against budget and targets.
- Oversee contract negotiation and rate agreements.
- Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams.
- Use market data and performance insights to inform decisions.
- Analyse market trends, demand patterns, and competitor activity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and commercial standards.
- Maintain accurate records within CRM and sales systems.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Complete all mandatory training within required time frames.
- Proven experience in a senior hotel sales role, ideally as Director of Sales.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Commercial mindset with strong negotiation and relationship-building ability.
- Confident using data to drive sales decisions and strategy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
