The Role As a Support Worker, you will work as part of a dedicated team to promote the wellbeing, independence, and personal development of residents. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing practical support, advice, advocacy, and encouragement. Supporting residents with daily living activities and developing essential life skills. Helping individuals work towards greater independence and achieve their personal goals. Building positive, trusting relationships with residents. Encouraging social interaction and participation within the community. Organising and supporting creative, engaging activities based around residents' interests. Promoting a user-led approach , ensuring residents have a genuine voice in the activities and direction of the project.
Recognising and reporting safeguarding concerns appropriately. Working closely with colleagues and senior management to ensure residents receive consistent, high-quality support. Following organisational policies, procedures, safeguarding requirements, and professional standards. About You We're looking for people who are:
Caring, patient, and genuinely passionate about supporting others. Confident building relationships with people from a range of backgrounds. Positive, proactive, and able to encourage independence. Good communicators who are comfortable working as part of a team. Able to recognise and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns. Reliable and flexible with a professional approach. Experienced in support work, care, housing, homelessness, mental health, or similar settings although transferable experience will also be considered.
