Family Services Specialist I/II
This position is located in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Annual Salary- Level I H14A: $37,440.00+
Full State Employee Benefits - Level II H14B: $40,248.00+

Travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications Level I- Education and experience requirements consist of two years of clerical office work in a business, public sector, or social work environment;
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college for each year of the required experience.
- Education and experience requirements consist of a bachelor’s degree;
- OR an associate’s degree plus two years of clerical office work in a business, public sector, or social work environment;
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of experience in professional business, public sector, or social work environment for each year of the bachelor’s degree.
- OR two (2) years of experience as a Family Services Specialist.
- Greet clients in a professional and kind manner via phone or in an OKDHS retail space.
- Manages a caseload and provides services for individuals and their families.
- Evaluates the needs of individuals and families and makes referrals to community resources.
- Assesses the needs of individuals and determines eligibility for specific programs.
- Interviews clients by phone or in an office setting.
- Compiles data, completes documentation, and enters data electronically to determine eligibility.
- Participates in individual and staff conferences and committee work as assigned.
- Must attend all mandatory training associated with the position.
- Establish, engage, and grow positive and effective community partnerships with interested members of the public, service providers, and vendors in a supportive and teamwork-oriented professional manner; work effectively with partners to serve shared customers while maintaining confidentiality.
