Position: Operator I

Position Summary: Operator position to set up, operate, and tend to various specific manufacturing equipment in the department in accordance with procedures to ensure optimum product quality. Accountable for safety, quality, efficiency, and proper packaging of materials produced.

Responsibilities include:

Ensuring safety standards are met and maintained.

Operating manufacturing equipment proficiently and efficiently.

Completing documentation for quality checks and operational data.

Verifying raw material specifications and processing parameters.

Maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Reading work orders and production schedules accurately.

Performing manual tasks such as hand-forming, cutting, and finishing work pieces.

Installing and setting up machinery components.

Monitoring equipment during operation, troubleshooting issues, and shutting down equipment properly.

Supporting team members and collaborating across departments.

Adhering to all safety and company policies.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Good communication, organizational, and mechanical skills.
Ability to read and interpret instructions and safety warnings.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Prior manufacturing experience and lockout/tagout training preferred.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
Basic computer skills and strong math skills.
