Part Time Recreation Assistant

Become a vital part of the City of Salmon Arm as a part time Recreation Assistant at SASCU Recreation Centre. You'll support recreational programs and engage with participants while working evenings and weekends.

This casual position reports to the Aquatics and Programming Manager at the Shuswap Recreation Society. You'll plan, deliver activities, and manage setups for various programs. Teaching youth leadership courses such as Red Cross Babysitters and Safe at Home will also be a crucial part of your role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work at the reception area of the Recreation Centre

• Plan and deliver engaging recreational activities

• Set up and take down program spaces efficiently

• Teach youth leadership courses and skills

• Assist in organizing special events and programs

Requirements:

• Availability to work weekends and evenings

• Standard First Aid certification required

• Minimum two years of experience with children

• Preferred training in Early Childhood Education or Recreation Leadership

• Criminal record check required
