Onsite Engineering is seeking a Geoscientist in Training to enhance its geosciences group in Salmon Arm. This role involves fieldwork, mapping, and assessments focusing on terrain stability and hazards. Candidates with experience in field assessments, road construction, and rugged terrain are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct field assessments for terrain stability and hazards
• Prepare maps, drawings, and reports based on findings
• Utilize QGIS and Arc Map for map creation
• Participate in post-wildfire assessments as needed
• Assist in geotechnical investigations and reporting
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Geoscience or related field
• Registration or eligibility as Geoscientist in Training with EGBC
• Strong technical writing and planning skills
• Willingness to learn and work independently
• Comfort with outdoor fieldwork and travel
