Educate residents and their families about health conditions, care plans, and available resources. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
The nurse uses critical thinking, therapeutic communication and clinical decision making skills to assess, plan, implement, educate and evaluate the patients’ care.
Requirements include graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration in good standing with the provincial licensing body. A valid CPR certificate is also required.
Responsibilities include liaising with interdisciplinary team and care providers to develop, review and evaluate resident care plans, and providing care according to the College of Nurses of the respective province.
Preferred qualifications include a recognized diploma from a school of nursing, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation. Care will be provided in the child's home and/or surrounding community.
