Position Summary & Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Fuel Accounting Clerk, you’ll play a critical role behind the scenes of Maverik’s fuel operations, ensuring fuel deliveries are accurately documented, billed, and reconciled. This role partners closely with vendors, drivers, and store teams to maintain precise financial records, support audits, and keep our fuel accounting processes running smoothly and efficiently.
- Enter fuel supplier invoices and verify proper supporting documentation
- Accurately enter driver fuel delivery orders to prepare for billing
- Ensure driver paperwork aligns with delivery reports and fuel loads are billed to the correct store location
- Maintain organized and accurate records of bills of lading, invoices, and delivery tickets
- Reconcile vendor payments and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with period-end reconciliations and miscellaneous audit activities
- Communicate with stores and drivers to ensure documentation accuracy and resolve issues

Location & Schedule
Based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters with a 4‑day hybrid in‑office schedule.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, accounts payable, or a related role
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process and reconcile high‑volume transactions
- Experience working with invoices, documentation, and financial records
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with stores, drivers, vendors, and internal teams

Bonus Points If You Also Bring
- An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience with fuel accounting, logistics, or inventory‑related billing
- Familiarity with reconciliations, audits, or period‑end close processes
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $18.50/hour – $22.50/hour, + DOE and bonus opportunities. The salary range is a guideline;
