** We are seeking a
** Senior*
* ** Accountant
* * with general ledger experience to work in our Accounting & Finance department to help with the following:
* Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for segments of the business.
* Support accounting operations or complex segments of the general ledger function.
* Compile and analyze accounting activities to ensure proper recording of financial transactions.
* Review and verify financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
* Coordinate accounting matters across departments, ensuring consistent financial reporting and communication.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes, including advanced journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
* Provide technical expertise on complex accounting issues and guide the development of improved accounting systems, methods, and controls.
* Support external and internal audits by preparing detailed analyses and documentation.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
* Encourage and enforce safe workplace practices and adherence to company safety policies.
** WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification preferred.
* 6 or more years of General Ledger experience or public accounting is ideal
* Oracle ERP system experience helpful
* Strong knowledge of US GAAP and advanced understanding of accounting principles, policies, and procedures.
* Strong understanding of currency exchange rates, intercompany accounting, and financial consolidation.
* Microsoft Office experience with proficiency in Excel
