Clinical Data Specialist (Project Management)
The Clinical Data Specialist supports the Resident Assessment, Quality Programs & Informatics (RAQPI) department by performing clinical data monitoring, validating information used for quality performance, and conducting assessment-related reviews. This role also provides essential administrative and organizational support to the RAQPI leader, ensuring reports, projects, documents, and workflows remain structured, timely, and accurate. A key responsibility includes managing iQIES user processes and pulling required reports from federal systems.
EssentialDuties Quality & Data Monitoring
- Perform routine monitoring tasks including E11 reviews, assessment validation, and other quality‑related checks.
- Validate accuracy of data displayed on dashboards and internal reports.
- Identify discrepancies in assessment data, documentation, and quality measure outcomes; elevate issues promptly.
- Support data‑gathering and validation needs for projects and internal reviews.
- Assist with iQIES user management activities, including verifying user information, tracking statuses, and processing requests.
- Pull reports from iQIES and other federal systems as directed, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Organize, label, and maintain downloaded reports for easy reference.
- Create and maintain structured folder systems, shared directories, and project files to support operations.
- Organize documents, tracking logs, templates, and reference materials to ensure consistency and accessibility.
- Assist with scheduling follow‑ups, reminders, and project timelines to keep leadership organized.
- Prepare summaries, notes, status updates, and simple documentation related to monitoring activities.
- Support development and organization of training materials, job aids, and process documents.
- Communicate with facility and regional contacts when follow‑up information or clarification is required.
- Support on assigned initiatives and administrative tasks as needed.
This role does not supervise staff.
Qualifications (Education and/or Experience)Clinical background preferred (LPN, RN, or similar) with equivalent experience in healthcare data, quality monitoring. Experience with assessment workflows, long‑term care operations, or federal reporting systems preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsAdministrative, quality, or data‑related certifications are beneficial.
Physical DemandsAbility to sit for extended periods while reviewing data and documentation. Occasional light lifting of materials or equipment.
