SummaryLegends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a part‑time Event Management Apprentice for the Salt Palace Convention Center and Mountain America Exposition Center. The role provides administrative and organizational support to the Executive Office, handling daily general office duties and coordinating meetings and events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Events & all Event Managers with organizational and administrative tasks.
- Shadow show‑day activities and provide show‑management support as needed.
- Learn and utilize event operations management software.
- Assist or fully manage coordination of smaller events and meetings as requested.
- Support Event Managers with reminders and completion of critical pre‑ and post‑event submissions.
- Record and distribute meeting summaries and action items.
- Use diagramming software to help create event floor plans.
- Organize pre‑con/post‑con logistics for events when required.
- Maintain emergency text alert systems.
- Assist communications and guest relations as requested.
- Coordinate and maintain event calendars.
- Prepare, edit, and proof documents such as SOPs and reports.
- Communicate departmental information as needed.
- Participate in various committees.
- Provide reception desk backup as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Event Management, Business, or Communications preferred.
- 1+ year of administrative support experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Highly organized with proficiency in various organizational tools and technologies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Willingness to learn facility software programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and openness to collaboration and feedback.
- General professional writing and grammar skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google suite.
- AutoCAD experience a plus.
Part‑time, up to 29 hours per week, in‑office
Salary$20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
ScheduleMonday‑Friday, flexible start/end times; weekend availability required as needed
