The Department of Neurology is seeking a Grants and Contracts Officer to facilitate the grant process, pre- and post-award. Coordinate research, prepare, finalize, submit, and follow up on industry, foundation, and/or government grants. Research and draft proposals, develop budgets, and manage the submission process, ensuring deadlines are met. Process grant reconciliations, maintain records, and communicate with funders. Establish relationships with foundations.
This position is primarily remote with occasional days in the office.

Research and draft proposals, develop budgets, and manage the submission process, ensuring deadlines are met. Process grant reconciliations, maintain records, and communicate with funders. Establish relationships with foundations. The position provides complex administrative support for Various Principal Investigators and their labs.
Strong organizational capacity, excellent communication skills, and ability to balance priorities are required.
- Facilitate the grant process pre- and post-award for the university.
- Coordinate cross-departmentally to research, prepare, finalize, submit, and follow-up on industry, foundation, and/or government grants.
- Research and draft proposals; develop budgets; manage submission process and deadlines.
- Process grant reconciliations, maintain records, and communicate with funders.
- Establish relationships with foundations.
- Provide complex administrative support to Principal Investigators and their labs; demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to balance priorities with follow-through.
- Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience, or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
- This is a Career-Level position in the General Professional track;

Equivalency statement: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (e.g., bachelor’s degree = 4 years of related experience).
Preferences- Familiar with University pre-award systems, processes, and policies for successful submissions.
- Familiar with University post-award systems including management reports, chart fields/account codes, Djobs, ePAR.
- Has developed specialized skills or is multi-skilled through training and on-the-job experience.
