We’re Looking For You
At Retool, the inbound SDR team is a critical part of our go‑to‑market team and the first touchpoint for many of our future customers. You will engage and qualify inbound leads, provide an excellent customer experience, and hand off leads to the sales or support teams. This role builds deep product knowledge, broadens your awareness of software development, and supports Retool’s growth toward our 2025 sales goals.
HowYou’ll Make an Impact
- Create Pipeline:
Articulate the Retool value proposition and generate qualified meetings from inbound trial sign‑ups, demo requests, and product sign‑ups that contribute to pipeline and revenue. - Qualify Prospects:
Follow up with inbound leads, identify additional prospects, and conduct high‑level discovery calls to understand challenges, goals, and fit before introducing to an AE. - Become a Product Expert:
Communicate the Retool value proposition uniquely to each customer and learn specific business projects that use Retool. - Own Your Outreach:
Develop strategies that improve the experience of prospects and the inbound SDR process. - Collaborate & Share Best Practices:
Work with SDRs, leadership, AEs, marketing, and support to give feedback and help the GTM team improve. Help ramp new SDRs and contribute to a collaborative environment. - Customer Focus:
Ensure every action preserves the Retool brand and delivers a best‑in‑class experience.
- Develop creative messaging strategies to reach new users.
- Generate sales pipeline by scheduling qualified meetings.
- Become a subject‑matter expert in how Retool solves business needs.
- Lead Zoom discovery calls to understand business needs and connect Retool value proposition.
- Maintain a clean, organized book of accounts using Salesforce and other SaaS tools.
- Relay product and user feedback to internal teams.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and quarterly metrics.
- Increase conversion rates across all lead sources.
- Prepare for progression into BD, AE, or Sales Engineering.
- Based in the SLC, UT area with the ability to work a hybrid model.
- Effective communicator in writing and speech.
- Technically inclined and eager to learn new technologies.
- Enjoy testing, tracking, and iterating on processes.
- Thrives in a fast‑growing, ever‑changing environment.
- Self‑directed and able to maintain schedule and workload.
- Coachable and open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Previous sales or technical background preferred but not required.
Base salary ranges from $57,915 to $78,507 USD for non‑commissionable roles, with on‑target earnings for commissionable roles. Additional compensation may include equity, commissions, or bonuses. Retool offers a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay and benefits are subject to change.
