The Role We Want You For

The Site Safety Supervisor will support project staff and the Clayco safety team in implementing safety and health standards in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Responsibilities include developing a zero-injury safety culture, conducting weekly safety inspections, orienting new workers, reviewing subcontractor safety analyses, promoting safety initiatives, reporting incidents, and motivating workers to perform safely. Your role encompasses all safety aspects on your assigned projects.

The Specifics of the Role

Assist in developing the project safety program.

Conduct jobsite orientations for new employees, record participation, and issue identification badges.

Participate in initial project meetings to define safety roles.

Hold pre-task safety meetings with subcontractors before work begins.

Perform field safety tasks on projects up to $80M.

Interface with clients.

Assist the Site Safety Manager.

Conduct weekly safety meetings with subcontractors and project staff.

Facilitate safety training to ensure compliance with OSHA, Clayco, and federal standards.

Maintain logs of toolbox safety meetings.

Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance.

Ensure subcontractors have trained safety representatives with proper authority.

Conduct daily and weekly safety inspections, document violations, and enforce corrective actions.

Report safety violations promptly and stop unsafe practices.

Assist in fire prevention and emergency procedures.

Investigate incidents and prepare reports.

Maintain safety records.

Lead monthly safety meetings and briefings.

Require 3-5 years of safety experience, field experience, OSHA 30-hour certification, and OSHA 500 is a plus.

Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in loud environments and travel nationwide as needed.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
