Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a full time Electrical Construction Detailer to join our Preconstruction Team. The Electrical Construction Detailer needs to be sharp, driven, and constructability minded with field experience in electrical and looking to move into planning, coordination, and prefabrication.
The Electrical Construction Detailer will be responsible for translating drawings and construction documentation into real-world constructable plans used by our field crews and VDS team becoming the bridge between what’s drawn and what actually works.
Major Duties- Covert design drawings into construction‑ready shop drawings using Blue Beam.
- Plan routing, elevations, locations, and circuiting with real world logic.
- Verify the constructability in areas such as working clearance, bends, panel spaces, and compatibility.
- Identify constructability issues early and propose practical solutions.
- Coordinate sleeves, block outs, and pathways with other trades.
- Produce accurate takeoffs aligned with prefab kits and ordering workflows.
- Serve as a liaison between field, engineering, management, and technical project teams.
- Track progress, timelines, and team deliverables to ensure quality and consistency.
- Participate in page‑turns to surface risks and establish installation sequencing.
- Facilitate meetings and manage preconstruction detailing inputs and outputs.
- Think creatively to solve layout challenges, maintain constructability, and streamline workflow.
- Maintain detailing standards, naming conventions, version control, and digital hygiene to ensure accuracy and consistency across drawings, schedules, and BOMs.
- Review and verify specifications and submittals for compliance to all codes and requirements.
- Creative and out of the box thinking with attention to detail.
- Rely on field experience to correct design and scope gaps to eliminate rework.
- Ability to fully deploy with the capabilities of displaying innovative approaches and expertise.
- Ability to think digitally and practically from the field and tech platform experience.
- Time management skills to create and manage to meet project milestones.
- Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
- Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
- Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, goal‑oriented mindset for continual growth, with a “Can‑Do” positive attitude.
- Other duties or locations as assigned by manager.
- Strong electrical field installation experience (Journeyman/Foreman/Superintendent level).
- Solid ability to read construction plans and understand installation sequencing.
- Knowledge of electrical code, contract documents, specifications, and submittals.
- Experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of real‑world installation logic, constructability, and material applications.

Work ScheduleThis is a full‑time position with a typical working schedule of Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am – 2:00pm.
