Job Description

Installs and maintains audio and visual equipment. Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices, and systems.

• Typically requires accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 0 to 2 years of experience.
• Performs work under direct supervision.
• Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.

• Operates equipment to enhance effects of sound and display at live events.
• Sets up lighting, sound devices, and video and projection devices.
• Coordinates audio with visual displays.
• Assist and instruct guests/customers regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment, up-sell different AV services, and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals. Break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use.
• Test and resolve technical issues.
• Check delivered equipment and room set-up against Banquet Event Order.
• Oversee the set-up of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms.
• Communicate any additions or deletions to flow sheets to manager/supervisor.
• Works with event directors to add enhancements.
• Any other duties as assigned by manager.
