Job Title: Technical Assistant / AV Technical Support Staff
Location: Campus, Salt Lake City, UT
Department: 00333 - UIT Digital Learning Tech
Pay Rate: $15/hour
Hours per Week: 19 (Part‑Time)
Work Schedule: Variable: 7:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday‑Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Friday, with occasional weekend or out‑of‑hours events

Are you interested in gaining professional experience with video, audio and/or educational technologies? This part‑time, on‑campus position provides flexible scheduling and hands‑on learning while supporting a wide variety of video, streaming, and audiovisual technologies.
Responsibilities- Provide customer service and technical support to clients in person and on the phone
- Record and monitor video from one or multiple cameras
- Operate video conferencing over interactive video conferencing (IVC) systems
- Deliver audiovisual equipment to University campus classrooms and departments
- Maintain, clean, organize equipment, and perform minor repairs as needed
- Troubleshoot video and audio recording devices
- Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and others involved in facilitating video projects
- Organize and maintain videos in a computer database
- Schedule equipment rental for campus classes and events
- Perform administrative duties as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or related experience is preferred
- Basic understanding of video, audio, and streaming technologies
- Strong customer‑service orientation
- Experience with audio‑visual technology and customer service support
- Knowledge of media production and media‑editing software
- Experience working in student‑focused or healthcare settings
