Looking for an experienced, well-organized and punctual dental assistant to work in a solo dental practice in the Sugar House neighborhood in Salt Lake City. The assistant needs to be an exceptional multitasker to complete procedures in a two-operatory environment.
Responsibilities- Set up operatories with appropriate instruments, equipment, materials, etc.
- Prepare patient for treatment
- Assist dentist with 4-handed dentistry
- Understand and execute proper sterilization technique
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative instructions
- Be able to chart patient treatment
- Perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing and full mouth x-rays
- Order appropriate inventory to keep operatories fully stocked
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of dental software (Dentrix)
