About The Position

AGBO is seeking a Web Engineer to join our Innovation team to help build and support digital experiences across our projects. This is a hands‑on role for a developer who thrives in creative environments, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and can bring elegant, scalable solutions to life in the browser.

You’ll work across a range of projects and this role is ideal for someone who balances performance, polish, and flexibility, and who’s excited to collaborate with artists and strategists.

We’re primarily looking for candidates based in Salt Lake City or New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, performant, and accessible web applications.
• Work closely with designers and creative leads to implement UI/UX that aligns with AGBO’s brand and creative goals.
• Build reusable components and design systems using modern frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte, etc.).
• Integrate APIs and back‑end services, including Graph
  
  QL and headless CMS platforms.
• Optimize for performance, scalability, and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and development best practices.
• Explore and apply emerging web technologies that support storytelling and interactive innovation.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2–4 years of professional experience in front‑end or full‑stack web development.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with experience using React, Svelte, or Vue in production environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Graph
  
  QL is a significant plus.
• Familiarity with back‑end or server‑side development is a strong bonus.
• Understanding of web accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and responsive design principles.
• Comfortable working with Git and modern deployment workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
• Experience working in entertainment, creative studios, or media environments is a plus.
