Overview

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Utah invites applications for a full‑time, board‑certified or board‑eligible, non‑invasive General Cardiologist with an interest in academic practice. The faculty position offers an opportunity to join a leading academic medical center with a strong cardiology program and engage in clinical care, teaching, research, and other scholarly activities within a collaborative and supportive academic environment.

Team

and Teaching
  • Fourteen general cardiologists and fourteen advanced practice clinicians (NP/PA)
  • Educate eighteen ACGME Cardiovascular Disease Fellows and five sub‑specialty fellows (total of 12 fellows enrolled)
  • Mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Inpatient and outpatient cardiology services
  • Rotations in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology
  • Specialized programs: advanced imaging, cardio‑oncology, pulmonary hypertension
  • Clinical research and other scholarly activities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine (ABIM)
  • Board‑certified or willing to sit for Adult Echocardiography (National Board of Echocardiography)
  • Board‑certified or willing to sit for Nuclear Cardiology (Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology)
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Utah
