Total Base Pay Range: $20.00 to $23.00 (depending on experience)
U.S. work authorization required. This position is not a student employment position.
The Health Professions Program seeks to hire a part‑time Health Professions Coordinator to teach a variety of labs for medical assisting students.
Eligibility Requirements- Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints
- Worthiness to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend
- Receive clearance from the Church Educational System Ecclesiastical Clearance Office
- Commitment to bring about the purposes of Ensign College
- Resides in Utah
- Must be familiar with clinical lab for medical clinics
- Strong commitment to high‑quality undergraduate education
- Plan, prepare, and teach an approved course of study with measurable objectives and principle‑based outcomes
- Support our unique learning and teaching framework
- Create and execute immersive learning opportunities
- Establish and foster a learner‑centered classroom environment
- Evaluate student learning using multiple means of assessment
- Maintain and submit timely and detailed student grade records
- Support the program and teacher in the classroom, and subclasses as needed, scan student records, attend faculty meetings, and become familiar with the programmatic accreditation
- Hold open lab for student practice outside of class and other lab responsibilities
- Minimal Exertion – Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Involves sitting for extended periods and walking or standing for brief periods.
- Handling – Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or working with fingers and/or hands.
- Talking – Using the spoken word to communicate ideas and messages to other people.
- Hearing – Perceiving and understanding the speech of another person.
- Near Acuity – Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
