Salary Range$15‑$17 per hour (DOE)
Hours & Schedule25 hours per week (Mon‑Fri). Part‑time:
Monday‑Thursday 1:45 pm‑6:30 pm, Friday 12:00 pm‑6:30 pm.
Youth Development Professionals develop fun, engaging, and age‑appropriate activities for youth and teens from diverse backgrounds. Using our three priority outcomes—academic success, good character & citizenship, and healthy lifestyles—they ensure that every Club Member has an Optimal Club Experience that sets them up for lifelong success. Successful YDPs have a passion for serving others, connecting with young people, and providing supportive relationships.
They are team players willing to do whatever it takes to keep Club Members safe, recognized, and given opportunities to learn new skills.
- Monday‑Friday work schedule, no late nights or weekends required—great for student/work/life balance

- Plan and implement daily group activities with youth ages 5‑17.
- Ensure engagement, stimulate participation, and promote consistent attendance of youth enrolled in activities.
- Establish rapport with youth, provide mentoring, guidance, role modeling, and overall direction for leadership development, artistic skills, physical activity engagement, and academic progress.
- Provide active supervision, continually interacting with all members and offering motivation and encouragement.
- Submit regular lesson plans, attendance sheets, and other paperwork.
- Plan special events (guest speakers, performances, or field trips).
- Abide by and carry out safety policies and procedures.
- Attend local trainings.
- Ability to work in high‑energy, loud, and active settings with large groups of youth and teens.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and accomplish them in a detailed, timely manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with Club Members, peers, parents, and community leaders.
- Self‑motivated; comfortable with both independent and collaborative processes.
- Willing to share an area of interest, skill, or talent with youth.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong group management skills.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, MVR check, and drug screening.
- 21 years and over required (to meet driving requirements); willing and able to drive 15‑passenger vans.
