Job Summary: This role provides comprehensive support for faculty development efforts across all phases of the medical education program under the guidance of the Associate Dean of Faculty Development for Education and the Division of Medical Education. It supports faculty development initiatives by identifying needs, facilitating resources and programming, and maintaining an asynchronous platform for accessible training materials. Responsibilities include close collaboration and communication with other SFESOM staff and faculty to ensure success of faculty development related efforts.
The role also supports regional campus initiatives related to faculty development, including communication, record of faculty activities, and may represent faculty needs at the Educational Program Planning Committee (EPPC). The role will lead coordination of the Faculty Educator Recognition Program and the Peer Evaluation and Enrichment Program (PEEP), promote feedback and reflective practice among faculty, cross‑train, and provide intermittent coverage for essential coordinator responsibilities in the Division of Medical Education.

- Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support for faculty development initiatives across all phases of the MD Program, identifying needs and facilitating appropriate resources or training.
- Collaborate with staff and faculty leadership across all phases of the curriculum to assist with scheduling, logistics, and communication for key faculty development components for faculty groups (Learning Community Coaches, PBL, LIC, etc.) to ensure alignment and successful program outcomes.
- Work closely with LIC coordinators, directors, and clinical site leadership to align faculty development expectations and opportunities for community‑based adjunct faculty.
- Contribute to faculty development initiatives related to coaching and mentorship.
- Plan events for faculty development efforts.
- Collaborate on regional campus faculty development initiatives, aligning local and institutional goals.
- Maintain and update the asynchronous platform hosting faculty development materials, ensuring accessibility and relevance.
- Assist with resource development and production as directed.
- Oversee all outgoing communication related to faculty development (event announcements, newsletters, updates).
- Represent faculty development needs at the Educational Program Planning Committee (EPPC).
- Maintain comprehensive records of faculty development activities and accomplishments for all core educators.
- Lead program coordination for faculty programs overseen by the Division of Med Ed and/or the Associate Dean of Faculty Development.
