$120,000 annual salary paid weekly, with health benefits starting day one, HSA/FSA options, and 401(k) Roth. Relocation assistance provided.

• Leading adaptive reading workshops focused on building core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension
• Creating individualized motivational experiences that engage students and foster enduring enthusiasm for reading
• Reviewing student performance metrics to iteratively improve instructional methods and generate practical recommendations
• Partnering with technical staff to test and refine AI-based literacy platforms

• Bachelor's degree plus advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or similar)
• Minimum 2 years of experience providing small‑group reading interventions for early elementary learners
• Demonstrated ability to assess reading proficiency, organize student groups, and develop differentiated lessons independent of published curricula
• Experience using AI or adaptive learning platforms and adjusting instruction based on student interaction patterns
• U.S. work authorization without need for sponsorship
• Availability to work on‑site at one of the following locations:

  Lake Forest (Orange County), CA;
  San Francisco, CA;
  Miami, FL; or New York City, NY

Alpha School is building an AI‑powered reading program that delivers in 2 hours what conventional schools achieve across an entire day. The role merges direct student instruction with strategic program architecture, allowing you to mentor individual readers while constructing a scalable framework for foundational literacy across multiple school sites.

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. Payment is weekly. Consult  for more details.
