Microbiology & Immunology/HCI Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor

Tenure‑track position in the Division of Microbiology and Immunology (M&I) and the Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). Focus is the intersection of cancer and the microbiota.

• Develop an independent research program in cancer–microbiota interactions.
• Collaborate across the HCI and M&I divisions and the emerging university‑supported center on microbiota and mucosal immunology.
• Publish high‑impact research and secure funding consistent with academic rank.
• Mentor students and trainees in microbiology, immunology, and translational cancer research.

• Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, or DVM) with a record of excellence in research.
• Strong publication record and evidence of successful grant applications.
• Experience or expertise in host‑commensal interactions, microbiota‑immune interactions in cancer, or related areas such as microbial metagenomics, metabolism, or ecology.
• Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
