Lead and develop a world‑class research program in neurotechnology, brain–computer interfaces, and bionics. Engage in collaborative research, service, and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Provide mentorship to Ph.D. students and contribute to the interdisciplinary training programs.
Qualifications- Ph.D., Sc.D., or M.D. with research experience in neural engineering or closely aligned fields.
- Demonstrated track record of high‑impact research evidenced by scholarly publications.
- Strong potential (assistant rank) or established record (associate rank) of extramural funding.
- Experience in teaching core and specialized engineering courses.
- Exceptional potential to lead a fully funded research program and train Ph.D. students over decades.
- Experience with clinical trials, entrepreneurship, and industry collaborations is highly encouraged.
- Neural interfaces, neuroprostheses, neurorobotics
- Neural signal processing, brain‑computer interfaces, neuromodulation
- Implantable systems, neuro‑biocompatibility, neuromorphic computing/bio‑inspired AI
- Implantable cortical brain‑computer interfaces and implanted spinal neuromodulation in humans
