Math Question Developer (4-month Contract)

Rate: $20-$28/hour.

• Use our in-house programming language to code questions into our online system where they will be seen online by tens of thousands of students and teachers.
• Be thoughtful about the student experience and proactively alert the project manager about questions that don’t translate well into a digital platform.
• Maintain a consistent approach to answer acceptance while being mindful of how the question will be integrated into the instructors’ curricula.
• Identify potential edge cases in answer acceptance and test for how well the question works.
• Identify the Common Core State Standards that apply to each question.

• Experience with basic computer programming in any language (ideally JavaScript).
• Familiarity with LaTeX.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Tutoring or teaching experience in mathematics is a plus.
• Experience with online mathematics homework software is a plus.
• Familiarity with Common Core curriculum and standards (preferred).
