The Electrical Design Engineer will provide technical expertise in the design, development, and support of innovative medical or industrial devices. This role ensures that all electrical and electronic design concepts are based on sound engineering principles and developed using the latest tools and technologies. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust, high‑quality device designs from concept through commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide electrical and electronic engineering technical expertise to support device research, development, and delivery activities.
- Utilize schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout tools to design, evaluate, and optimize electronic circuits and components.
- Develop detailed design and interface specifications for software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with design requirements.
- Partner with manufacturing, contract developers, and quality teams to ensure design robustness, proper testing, and alignment with design control processes.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design reports, work instructions, change control records, and development plans.
- Provide regular design‑related updates and technical opinions to senior management to support project integrity and decision‑making.
- Support verification, validation, and risk management activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Hands‑on experience with schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout software.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in electrical and electronic circuit design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing technical documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams in a fast‑paced R&D environment.
