Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer

Jacobs is looking for an experienced, high‑energy HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients. The role involves field investigations, client and vendor interfacing, equipment sizing and selection, and preparation of construction design packages. You will collaborate with a multi‑discipline team to meet client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

• Layout and design HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
• Produce final construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, and related systems.
• Coordinate design efforts with other engineering disciplines.

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit and strong working knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.
• Adaptability to fast‑paced environments with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote project teams.

• Software experience with AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
• Design experience for plumbing/utility systems.
