Our Bridges and Structures Practice supports transportation projects across multiple markets, including Bridge Inspection and Preservation.

• Organize information for use in project documents
• Assist or lead bridge projects by creating inspection reports, load rating summaries, concept reports, and Type, Size and Location reports
• Perform condition inspections of existing bridges and tunnels
• Generate and edit bridge inspection reports
• Develop engineering calculations using spreadsheets and various analysis/design software
• Develop engineering drawing details
• Develop engineering quantity and cost estimates
• Assist or lead development of project specifications
• Review contractor submittals during construction
• Lead bridge rehabilitation and maintenance project tasks as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of applicable bridge inspection, load rating, and/or design experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Successful completion of NHI 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service bridges, or NHI-approved equivalent
• Proficiency in current bridge inspection and management software
• Experience with current bridge load rating or analysis software platforms
• Knowledge of bridge design software (e.g., SAP
  2000, Midas Civil, LARSA, PG Super, Conspan, LPile)
• Experience with MathCAD
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Knowledge of drafting software (Micro Station, AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and communicate effectively in a team environment

• Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Knowledge of state DOT bridge inspection and load rating standards
• Completed NHI 130078 Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges
• Active SPRAT Rope Access Technician certification

• Potential salary range: $105,000 - $155,000

Salary and benefits reflect applicable state and local laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience and location.
