Description

As a Professional Engineer specializing in Telecommunications, you will support various telecom engineering projects throughout the country and work on challenging projects to develop and expand your telecom understanding.

Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Responsibilities include:
- Review and stamp Telecommunications drawings and designs for accuracy for various municipalities.
- Obtain Professional Engineer Stamp in various markets as needed to satisfy client demands.
- Design and draft engineering projects in fiber optics and wireless telecommunications.
- Design fiber optic running lines and splice details.
- Design new wireless communication towers, equipment shelters, antenna layouts (including height and azimuths), and fiber optic cable routes.
- Modify existing wireless drawings for new layouts and technologies.
- Develop plan sets including details, site plans, drainage, grading, and electrical drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Prioritize work with manager to meet project deadlines.
- Manage project data files from various sources.
- Communicate proactively with colleagues and clients, both in person and remotely.
- Attend weekly virtual update meetings to manage expectations and timelines.
- Learn and understand new design techniques, relying on subject matter experts as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- 3-6 years of experience.
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
- Strong project management and delivery skills.
- Ability to develop project plans and technical deliverables.
- Excellent communication and client skills.
- Team building, proposal development, and program execution skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team leader and maintain positive relationships.
- Organized, detail-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
- Experience with private and municipal clients.
- Understanding of municipal, state, and federal criteria and policies.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and think in 3D.
- Independent worker with multiple priorities.
- Professional, creative, team-focused attitude.
