What You'll Do Here- Evaluating the Quality program and applying methods to continually improve the system.
- Evaluating the various quality procedures and processes to ensure the most effective and efficient solutions are in place.
- Establishing and managing the final turnover process.
- Managing company certifications (ASME, NBIC, etc.).
- Functionally supporting all quality‑related personnel within fabrication and field operations.
- Assisting with the resolution of project and personnel‑related issues.
- Monitoring the performance of quality team members.
- Assisting with project‑related audits.
- Attending client meetings as required.
- Monitoring overall project performance as it relates to quality and providing feedback for areas of improvement.
- Assisting with testing and discovering innovative solutions to common quality problems.
- Reviewing project‑related reports to ensure quality performance goals are met.
- Working with various project managers to develop a realistic budget for the quality component of a project.
- Auditing and managing subcontractors employed by the project team.
- Ensuring continuity in the Quality Program throughout all areas of responsibility.
- Functionally responsible for all quality control staff in fabrication and field operations.
- Managing department costs, monitoring rates of pay and personnel loading.
- Interfacing with the client/owner/management on a regular basis.
- Technical education (WET or MET) or journeyman certification is an asset.
- Experience in multi‑discipline activities.
- Knowledge of construction codes (ASME B31.1, B31.3, ASME Sec. I, Sec. VIII, Sec. IX, AWS D1.1).
- Supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong customer service focus.
- AWS QCI, API 510, or API 570 certifications are assets.
- Current proof of vision requirements.
- Strong computer skills – MS Office.
- Excellent organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines in a high‑pressure environment.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Willingness to continually learn and advance technical knowledge.
- ISO knowledge is beneficial.
- Willingness and ability to work in a construction/industrial environment that may require ladders, stairs, work at elevations, and confined spaces.
