The Project Engineer position performs a variety of engineering duties, including field inspection, material testing, evaluation, analysis, design, and technical document preparation under the direction of a higher-level engineer. To fulfill these obligations, Project Engineers must be able to conduct assigned engineering work in compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and internal procedures and standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Performs field inspection and evaluation of structures under direction of a higher-level engineer.
- Performs testing of materials and incorporates results into reports under direction of a higher-level engineer.
- Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices under direction of a higher-level engineer.
- Prepares comprehensive engineering documents including inspection reports, design plans and specifications under direction of a higher-level engineer.
- Actively participates in internal project meetings and works to actively resolve project issues.
- Actively promotes a safe work culture.

YOU WILL NEED- Technical knowledge, experience, and capabilities in structural engineering.
- Proficiency in computer-assisted structural engineering and office software and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.
- Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively communicate findings/results.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree and or Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited four-year university.
- 0-4 years of relevant structural design engineering experience.

The duties of this position require the employee to regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. This position may require the employee to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
