Manufacturing Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Lead with a strong background in composite part machining and non‑destructive testing (NDT) processes. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 7 years of hands‑on experience in composite aerospace manufacturing, coupled with leadership capabilities to drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee manufacturing engineering activities supporting CNC machining and ultrasonic NDT processes for composite aerospace parts.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Coordinate with programming, metrology, and tooling engineering teams to ensure CNC/inspection programs and fixturing meet process requirements.
  • Utilize SAP for production planning, process documentation, and material control.
  • Apply CATIA V5 for design reviews and manufacturing process integration.
  • Collaborate with Material Review Board (MRB) for non‑conforming product disposition and root cause/corrective action investigation.
  • Work closely with operations management to ensure production needs are met and all CNC/NDT equipment is utilized effectively.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process validations, and cost‑reduction strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace) or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in composite aerospace manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of 5‑axis CNC machining and ultrasonic NDT.
  • Proficient with ERP & PDM systems (SAP & Windchill preferred), CATIA V5, Siemens CNC controllers, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience working with MRB processes and quality management.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
