Senior Calibration Technician (Utah Scales Center) – Accredited Labs
We are seeking an experienced Senior Calibration Technician to join our team at Accredited Labs. The ideal candidate has well‑rounded precision measurement device calibration experience and can work independently to calibrate a wide variety of instruments across differing fields and environments. They will also mentor less experienced technicians, providing guidance on complex problems.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Perform all duties in accordance with ISO 17025.
- Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair mechanical and electronic measurement equipment.
- Complete accurate and timely calibrations and repairs on customer sites.
- Perform routine and complex repairs and calibrations on a wide variety of tools per company processes and instructions.
- Work directly with clients throughout the process, providing clear communication and updates.
- Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards.
- Collect and measure data to support calibration traceability and documentation.
- Maintain records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support.
- 5+ years of experience as a Calibration Technician.
- Technical understanding of precision measurement devices and advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, driving, and standing for long periods.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations in Salt Lake City, Utah, and surrounding areas.
- Calibration experience within ISO 17025 quality systems.
- Knowledge of metrology principles, procedures, methods, and techniques.
- Experience with electrical, physical, and/or mechanical calibration of equipment.
- Experience working with manufacturers’ quality systems.
- Associate’s degree or higher in engineering, electronics, or related technical field.
- Technical degree or certificate.
- Military PMEL training.
- Metrology experience and familiarity with Indy Soft.
