Project Coordinator – Industrial & Commercial Electrical
Trueline’s client, a growing industrial and commercial electrical contractor based in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a Project Coordinator – Industrial & Commercial Electrical (Full Time) to join their team. In this role you will support multiple electrical projects from bid award through close out, working alongside the Project Manager and Estimating team to keep operations running smoothly and communications flowing.

- Assist the Project Manager with planning, organizing and tracking several simultaneous industrial and commercial electrical projects.
- Collaborate with the Estimating Department to transition awarded work from bid stage into active project setup.
- Prepare, distribute and maintain project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders and progress reports.
- Support scheduling and logistics for labor, materials and equipment deliveries, and coordinate with field crews, vendors and subcontractors to meet requirements.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets and milestones, and highlight variances or potential delays to the Project Manager.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical project files for compliance and audit purposes.
- Assist in project close out tasks including asbuilt documentation and client hand over packages.
- Promote the company’s standards for safety, quality and regulatory compliance on each project.
- Provide support to the estimating team as needed in preparation of bid materials.
- At least 2 years of project coordination experience, ideally in the electrical, construction or engineering sectors.
- Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating across office, field and vendor teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred (equivalent on the job experience will also be considered).
- Working knowledge of industrial or commercial electrical systems.
- Experience with project management tools like Procore, Bluebeam or similar.
- Previous exposure to electrical construction within industrial plants, commercial buildings or large scale electrical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with document control, submittal processes and change order workflow in a construction context.
