CCI Automation is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Building Automation Programmer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement control systems in various commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. This role requires a strong field background and familiarity with general principles of automation engineering and system design. The candidate will support installation, programming, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and work closely with the Building Automation Manager and Field team.

• Create control algorithms, download source code to controllers, manage system databases, and implement an animated front‑end graphical user interface.
• Integrate multiple systems and protocols to enable communication and data sharing.
• Set up a single front‑end platform for multiple BAS systems.
• Install, configure, and commission building automation systems.
• Maintain a customer‑focused mindset and promote positive interactions with clients.
• Perform or assist field operations in maintenance, inspections, and calibration of building systems.
• Mentor the Field Automation team to ensure compliance with safety and technical training standards.

• Provide technical support and training to the Building Automation team.
• Troubleshoot and repair building automation system malfunctions.
• Monitor system performance and analyze data to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Update and maintain system software and firmware.
• Respond to service calls for BAS issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards and safety regulations.
• Provide training and support to building staff on BAS operation.
• Document all maintenance, repairs, and modifications according to company policies.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors for timely project completion.
• Remotely access client control systems to monitor, service and troubleshoot.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or equivalent OR 3+ years of professional experience.
• Proven experience as a Building Automation Technician.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and BAS.
• Familiarity with BACnet and Modbus protocols.
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and manuals.
• Background in JCI platforms preferred.
• Experience in a team leader role, training and mentoring junior automation professionals.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
• OSHA 10 Certification.

The role requires regular sitting, seeing, talking, listening, handling, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Regular commuting between construction sites may be required.

Typical office environment with frequent visits to construction field sites. Work conditions are varied and may include weather or site hazards.
