We are seeking a talented and meticulous Tekla Miscellaneous and Structural Steel Detailing Project Manager to contribute to our dynamic team on-site in Salt Lake City.

Position SummaryProduce structural steel shop drawings for steel fabricators. Detail projects of various sizes and complexity using SDS/2 platform, Tekla platform, Revit and Auto Cad. Analyze drawing changes and coordinate with architect, engineer and contractor. Maintain RFIs, manage project criteria, troubleshoot field/erection issues and coordinate with client.
Coordination Examples Are As Follows- Coordinate with joist suppliers for the design of the joist seats to the beams/columns
- Coordinate with deck supplier to determine the span lengths of the deck
- Coordinate with Architect/Mechanical Contractor to locate floor and roof openings as well as the elevator framing requirements.
- Produce highly accurate and detailed shop drawings for a wide array of miscellaneous steel components using Tekla Structures.
- Focus on elements such as stairs, handrails, guardrails, wall rails, grading platforms, pipe racks, pipe vents, sidewalk box covers, bollards, and more.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure detailing accuracy and resolve any issues.
- Contribute to projects that directly impact the structural integrity of modern, complex buildings.
- Develop project management skills, as all detailers are encouraged to grow in this area.
- Proven expertise in Structural Steel Detailing.
- Project Management Experience.
- Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures is essential.
- Experience detailing steel for buildings (commercial, institutional, data centers, hospitals, aviation).
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in steel detailing is preferred for project managers, though candidates with three (3) years of solid experience will also be considered detailing positions.
- A review of your previous work will be required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- A college degree is NOT required for this position; we value practical experience and demonstrated skill.
- This is an on-site position in Salt Lake City.
- This is a full-time role with a full benefits package and a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on your experience.
