Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain automation systems including robotics, PLCs, sensors, and vision systems.
- Support production teams through process improvement, troubleshooting, and technical guidance.
- Lead or support manufacturing projects from concept through execution.
- Develop and document standardized work procedures and routings.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Supply Chain on vendor quality and alignment.
- Transition new or revised designs from Engineering and R&D to production.
- Oversee maintenance systems to ensure equipment uptime.
- Develop and maintain training documentation.
- Implement corrective actions for warranty and quality issues.
- Lead or support ISO and other internal/external certification efforts.
- Promote continuous improvement using lean principles and root cause analysis.
- Track KPIs and leverage visual management systems to support data‑driven decisions.
- Provide cost analysis and forecasting by reviewing schedules and estimating future requirements.
- Design and develop new products, processes, and mock‑ups as needed.
- Support standardization of design criteria across product lines.
- Conduct cost reduction, quality improvement, and process efficiency analyses.
- Represent manufacturing in cross-functional team environments.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Comply with the company safety policies and requirements.
- Report unsafe conditions or practices that may adversely impact the environment to supervision for prompt resolution.
- Attend scheduled safety training.
- Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed safety goals and plans.
- Practice safe work habits and follow general safety procedures such as proper lifting, ergonomics and use of personal protection equipment (PPE).
- Ensure strict adherence to fall protection procedures including but not limited to the use of harness, platform ladders, railing and lifts.
- Adhere to lockout/tagout (LO/TO) procedures any time equipment is cleaned or maintained.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safe work practices.
- Support and comply with the company’s Integrated Management System aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality and environmental responsibility by following established IMS procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, with a minimum of four to six years of related experience and/or training. Continuing education as required to stay abreast of new developments in the area of expertise.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in Solid Works, CAD and ERP systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, 5S and waste elimination.
- Working knowledge of ISO standards and audit readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive results.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under minimal supervision.
- Apply mathematical operations to theoretical and practical manufacturing and industrial situations.
