Tax Bit is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented accounting leader to join our Finance team as an Assistant Controller. This is a key role responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit readiness. The right candidate will bring both technical accounting expertise and a strong operational mindset to help scale financial infrastructure in a high‑growth SaaS environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of core accounting processes, build and improve scalable systems, and partner cross‑functionally as the company continues to grow. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, has a strong understanding of US GAAP and SaaS accounting, and is passionate about continuous improvement.

• Own and manage the month‑end close and financial reporting with high accuracy and timeliness
• Lead all aspects of general ledger accounting, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), accruals, and reconciliations
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Prepare and review internal and external financial statements and supporting schedules
• Partner with FP&A to ensure alignment between accounting outputs and business needs
• Manage and coordinate annual financial audits, working closely with external auditors
• Evaluate and implement accounting systems, automation tools, and process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, and payroll

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 5 to 7+ years of experience
• Public accounting and/or CPA preferred
• Solid understanding of GAAP and monthly close process
• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a lean, high‑performing team
• Excellent execution and planning skills with attention to detail as well as strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills
• Operates with high integrity, discretion, and a sense of ownership
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excel skills and aptitude for financial systems;
  Net Suite experience a plus
• Fast‑growing SaaS startup experience is a plus

The base salary range for this role is $135,000-$185,000. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation will vary depending on various job‑related factors, including, but not limited to location, experience, level, and job qualifications.
