Constellation Search Group is looking for a Corporate Controller for a full-time direct hire position. The Corporate Controller will oversee all accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role requires a proactive leader to manage the accounting functions for the company and its acquisitions, integrating processes across multiple entities while ensuring compliance with industry and private equity standards. They will support strategic decision-making by providing financial analysis and reports.
Responsibilities- Oversee accounting operations for the company and acquisitions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other standards.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Integrate financial systems and processes across business units to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment.
- Support private equity owners with ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.
- Monitor and implement process improvements to optimize accounting workflows and cost management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of accounting experience, including financial reporting, internal controls, and audits.
- Experience managing accounting functions for companies with multiple entities or acquisitions, ideally within a private equity-backed environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to lead accounting teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with accounting software (Netsuite and Quickbooks) and related ERP systems.
- Ability to adapt to growth and change in a dynamic environment.
