A leading alternative investment fintech/asset manager is seeking an Associate to join its Private Capital Fund Finance team, focused on private equity/private capital fund accounting and administration. The Associate will partner closely with internal stakeholders, third‑party administrators, and external partners to support fund launches, ongoing operations, and reporting. The role reports to a Vice President, Fund Finance (Private Equity).
Base Pay Range$75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities- Support new fund launches and onboarding by partnering with internal implementation teams
- Review feeder fund documents (e.g., LPA/PPM) and operational questionnaires; flag fund finance considerations to internal teams
- Analyze commitment sizing to underlying funds and review/assess feeder fund expense assumptions
- Oversee quarterly feeder fund NAV and partners’ capital account statements; help track and report key KPIs
- Review/sign off on capital calls, distributions, cash analyses, allocation files, and investor notices prepared by third‑party administrators and internal team members
- Participate in internal/external stakeholder meetings and support client interactions, including on‑site due diligence as needed
- Approve/release quarterly management fee payment wires
- Partner with Technology/Product teams to drive process improvement, automation, and scalability
- Monitor compliance with partnership agreement terms and operating provisions
- Oversee annual financial statement preparation in accordance with US GAAP
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in financial services / asset management accounting and operations
- Experience with alternative investments (PE/private capital/credit/real assets) fund administration or operations is a plus
- Progress toward or attainment of CPA, CFA, CAIA, MBA is a plus
- Strong interest in technology/process improvement (automation mindset)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and operate in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to work cross‑functionally
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to think big‑picture
