EY Private Tax is a growing practice focused on privately held companies and their owners and families. This role offers growth across cross-border and cross-functional teams with a focus on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects.

• Researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies
• Translating complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables
• Building long-term relationships with clients to provide tailored service
• Communicating complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
• Coaching and developing a team of tax professionals, reviewing work, and ensuring quality and commercial value
• Identifying risks and opportunities to improve services and processes

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field, with significant tax, business or financial planning experience
• A CPA certification or membership in The Bar
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional services or professional tax organization
• Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation
• Experience with flow-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs)
• Understanding of automated tax processing systems
• Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus
• Commitment to continuing learning; excellent collaboration and negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel as needed; able to work in a balanced hybrid environment
